As a small press publisher, Seventh Star Press encourages readers to support and purchase books from the retailers that keep the door open to independent press and authors. It is increasingly difficult for small press publishers to get placement in large chain stores, as store managers are not often given the authority to even stock a local author. We hope that these kinds of corporate policies change, as the small press publishers and authors are creating new markets and bringing some really fresh new titles out. (and we are very grateful to the few store managers of large chain stores that have been willing to help us get stocked in a few instances)
That being said, if you are within range of any of these fine bookstores, please support them and thank them for carrying small press titles. (And pick up a copy of The Exodus Gate while you are at it!)
