“It isn’t often in the world of small press publishing that an author gets the kind of attention I have been privileged to receive on Facebook. I am delighted to know that my work reaches a wide audience, with fans in the US, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Brazil, Jamaica, and 40 other countries. To celebrate my Facebook page reaching 10,000 likes, Seventh Star Press is sponsoring a giveaway of my last two novels, Angelkiller and Traitor Angel for US and Canadian fans. Ebooks will be awarded to overseas giveaway winners. Here are the details:The last in the Angelkiller Triad, Doom Angel, will appear shortly to bring the story to its conclusion. The characters in the books are Jonah Mason, John Tripp, Steven Overguard, Janice Meeker, Harold Martin, Andrew Nicholson, and the Knights Jaelon, Malthusan, and Populus. Casualties are inevitable in all wars, and the Conflict between the Army and the Enemy is not exempt. In the final volume, not all survive the deadly encounter with Dorian Azrael.

Three characters do not survive, two become Knights, and one retires. It’s up to you to make your best guess as to the identities of these six.

Two contestants who make the most accurate guess will be chosen at random to receive softcover copies of Angelkiller, Traitor Angel and Doom Angel upon its release. If more than two of the contestants guess all six correctly, one chosen at random will receive a $100.00 Amazon gift card and up to three others will receive $25.00 Amazon gift cards in addition to e-book copies of the series.

Entries should be addressed to Angelkillercontest (at) seventhstarpress.com with “Angelkiller Giveaway” in the Subject line. Contest ends December 11th. Winners will be announced December 18th.”

True Blood Cast Members Sign SSP Book for Cancer Research Fundraiser

True Blood Cast Members Sign SSP’s Vampires Don’t Sparkle Anthology for Cancer Research Fundraiser

Five members of the cast of HBO’s hit television series True Blood signed a copy of the Michael West-edited SSP anthology Vampires Don’t Sparkle! to be auctioned with 100% of proceeds from this event going to support cancer research. The auction will be conducted through eBay starting the second week of October and ending on Halloween, October 31st.

“It is a very personal cause for me, ” says Michael West, the author of highly-acclaimed novels such as Poseidon’s Children, Cinema of Shadows, The Wide Game and Spook House. “One year ago, I lost one of my closest friends, author Sara J. Larson, to cancer, and then my wife was diagnosed with the disease last fall. I hope that, with this anthology, we can help win the fight against this real-life horror.”

Signing the copy of Vampires Don’t Sparkle! were:

Rutina Wesley, who plays Tara Thorton
Sam Trammell, who plays Sam Merlotte
Jim Parrack, who played Hoyt Fortenberry
Janina Gavankar, who played Luna Garza
Jessica Clark, who plays vampire god Lilith
This will be a great opportunity for True Blood fans to get a one-of-a-kind collectible!  Even better, Vampires Don’t Sparkle! honors the true spirit of vampire storytelling, making for a perfect match!

What would you do if you had unlimited power and eternal life?

Would you…go back to high school? Attend the same classes year after year, going through the pomp and circumstance of one graduation after another, until you found the perfect date to take to prom? Would you…spend your days moping and brooding, finding your only joy in a game of baseball on a stormy day? Or would you…do something else? Anything else?

The authors of this collection have a few ideas; some fanciful, some humorous, and some as dark as an endless night. Join us, and discover what it truly means to be “vampyre.”
